What you will do

• Define and lead independent research agendas on Information Retrieval for reusable Agent components.
• Drive research and technical strategy across enterprise retrieval and search, including workspace and vector search.
• Develop algorithmic innovations for Retrieval within Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Conduct experiments to empirically validate hypotheses and benchmark against state-of-the-art approaches.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers and engineers to encode scientific expertise into production products.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong foundations in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Information Retrieval.
• Experience developing and implementing methods that extend and improve model capabilities, reliability, and safety.
• First-author publications at top ML/systems conferences (EMNLP, ICLR, ACL, NeurIPs) focused on optimization or efficiency.
• Location: Must be based in New York City.
