Engineering DevSecOps Architect (DevSecOps)

Engineering DevSecOps Architect (DevSecOps): Setting the technical direction and operating model for CI/CD and infrastructure automation within the hirify.global Technology division with an accent on engineering enablement, security integration, and operational reliability. Focus on designing reference architectures, building golden paths, and mentoring engineers to scale a high-performance DevOps culture.

Location: Onsite five days a week in Brisbane, Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Define reference architectures, golden paths, and engineering standards for CI/CD, IaC, and runtime operations.
• Own the DevOps tooling portfolio, including roadmap, lifecycle management, and adoption guidance.
• Establish SLO/SLI practices, observability standards, and incident response rhythms to ensure operational excellence.
• Embed security controls into pipelines via secret management, scanning, and policy-as-code.
• Mentor engineers and uplift capability across squads to foster a culture of ownership and automation.
• Partner with engineering leadership and external vendors to optimize costs and tooling decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in automation, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
• 2-4+ years in a technical lead or senior DevOps role with ownership of complex systems.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Must be authorized to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Must be able to work onsite five days a week in Brisbane.
