Location: Remote; strong preference for candidates based in SF or NYC. Expect ~1 week of travel per quarter to Chicago or Redwood City offices.

Salary: $201,000 - $248,000

What you will do

• Deliver high-trust analysis on clear timelines, translating vague business problems into crisp scopes and metrics definitions.
• Build and maintain lightweight internal decision systems to ensure insights are reproducible and maintainable.
• Partner with GTM teams to convert analysis into actionable sales strategies, prospecting lists, and territory design.
• Proactively detect anomalies, broken assumptions, or misallocated spend to optimize business scaling.
• Contribute to an evergreen, credible data pool and reporting to support fundraising readiness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, applied ML, or MLE within high-growth environments.
• Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, causal thinking, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in writing production-quality Python code for maintainable internal systems.
• Excellent communication skills to explain tradeoffs and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
• High ownership and autonomy in a fast-paced environment with minimal process.

Nice to have

• Experience partnering closely with Sales/GTM teams on pipeline, conversion, and pricing.
• Experience building internal analytics tooling on cloud infrastructure.
• Experience operating in early-stage startups and building v1 systems that scale.
• Strong structured systems thinking and ability to defend analytical approaches under scrutiny.
