What you will do

• Architect, design, and implement low-level firmware modules, middleware, and diagnostic software for optical PHY chipsets.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex firmware applications in embedded C.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system, analog, and digital hardware designers.
• Drive software design for new products while maintaining legacy systems.
• Provide leadership in architectural governance, design patterns, and code hygiene.
• Act as a technical ambassador to recruit and mentor top engineering talent.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s with 8+ years, Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of experience in a related field.
• Proven expertise in C and ARM Assembly on embedded targets.
• Strong understanding of real-time systems, multi-threading, and concurrent programming.
• Experience with multiprocessor programming and inter-processor communication.
• Hands-on driver experience with protocols such as MDIO, I2C, and SPI.
• Must be based in or authorized to work in the USA

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ARM processor architectures.
• Software development experience in Windows (Visual C++) and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of open-source licensing (GPL, LGPL, ASL) and proprietary software interfacing.
