Salary: $200,000 – $300,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of performance testing and data generation frameworks using k6, JavaScript, Grafana, and InfluxDB.
• Analyze application, database, and system-level behaviors to identify and remediate performance bottlenecks.
• Define and evolve organization-wide performance standards and benchmarks for scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement data-driven optimizations that improve throughput and reduce latency.
• Develop technical documentation and architectural decision records for performance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience with k6 or other load test frameworks and JavaScript.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Must reside in one of the approved US states.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Native environments, specifically AWS.
• Knowledge of large-scale datastore bottlenecks and asynchronous application design.
