What you will do
- Monitor quality assurance standards, processes, and controls across the manufacturing plant.
- Develop inspection methods, product sampling protocols, and training programs to evaluate production capabilities.
- Identify and address gauging usage through MSA to improve accuracy, stability, and operator influence.
- Perform audits of product and QMS performance to identify gaps and maintain ISO9001 conformance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives via DMAIC projects to optimize RTFT and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Provide technical data analysis and support to ensure products meet customer and industry specifications.
Requirements
- BS degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or 5+ years of direct experience in the Quality field.
- Minimum 3+ years of quality or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in DMAIC problem solving, MSA (Gage R&R), and quality tools (8D, 5Why).
- Proven experience with QMS management and improvement.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills to manage complex tasks under pressure.
Nice to have
- SAP experience and advanced MS Excel capabilities.
- Proficiency with SPC software (Minitab).
- Lean/Six Sigma education or experience.
- ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering.
- Experience with wire and cable manufacturing.
