What you will do

• Develop and maintain application code bases with high ownership and accountability.
• Coordinate integration across adjacent technical areas and ecosystems to ensure system coherence.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues, using incidents to drive educational opportunities and improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical interviews for new candidates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to propose and evaluate technical and process improvements.
• Present design documents and system diagrams to clients, partners, and other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of engineering experience (or equivalent professional experience).
• Expert-level knowledge in at least one area: frontend, backend, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience prototyping and deploying backend web applications using Ruby, Python, Django, or Rails.
• Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Lean) using Git and GitHub.
• Knowledge of relational/non-relational databases and scalable search technology (e.g., ElasticSearch, Solr).

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, PostgreSQL, Containers, AWS, Terraform, Angular, and Selenium.
• Familiarity with Figma and implementation of Design System components.
