What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from user story generation through design, development, and operational support.
• Build innovative tools for discovering, transforming, and improving the quality of Earth science data for NASA, NOAA, and USGS.
• Develop full-stack applications using Clojure, React, and Python/JavaScript.
• Collaborate with technical peers through code reviews and adherence to team quality standards.
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services, specifically S3, IAM, and Lambda.

Requirements

• Active NOAA CAC badge.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in Clojure and React.
• Experience building full-stack applications with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including S3, IAM, and Lambda.
• Must reside within 100 miles of Alexandria, VA or Philadelphia, PA.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• AWS Certification.
• Experience with Node.js or Python.
• Proficiency with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo).
• Experience developing on MacOS X.
