What you will do

• Run single-story live streams in the Streaming Control Centre, occasionally acting as the sole producer.
• Produce live news coverage for a variety of subjects, including breaking news and planned major events.
• Collaborate across the hirify.global to deliver news content on iPlayer, the hirify.global News Channel, the website, and YouTube.
• Pitch and execute creative ideas for streams to expand audience reach.
• Work a variety of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts to maintain "always on" news coverage.

Requirements

• Strong news judgement and deep knowledge of Editorial Policy and media law.
• Proven experience producing live daily news output on diverse journalistic subjects.
• Ability to manage competing demands within a fast-paced, ever-changing news agenda.
• Curiosity and technical interest in newsroom systems used for live video output.
• Understanding of digital analytics and how audiences consume video and audio on streaming platforms.
• Experience working as a team player within a data-led, multi-disciplinary agile environment.

Nice to have

• Experience producing long-form programmes and developing new on-demand formats.
• Proficiency in video editing and knowledge of technical video output techniques.
