What you will do

• Analyze medical records in real-time to determine medical necessity and proposed plans of care.
• Evaluate requirements for evacuations and repatriations for high-risk cases.
• Recommend cost containment strategies and provide clinical direction for urgent precertifications.
• Collaborate with operations and flight teams to ensure proper clinician and equipment augmentation.
• Provide travel advice and health education to individuals and corporate groups via telephone and email.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information and participate in quality management.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• 5 years of experience in acute care fields such as Emergency Room or ICU
• Legal authorization to be employed in the US (no sponsorship for H-1B or TN status)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general internet usage
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work autonomously within a team

Nice to have

• Experience in aeromedical retrievals or assistance case management
• Expertise in insurance case management and preauthorization procedures
• Professional or personal experience with international travel
• Foreign language skills
• Experience in teaching and mentorship of peer groups
