What you will do

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the Notifier platform, expanding to a self-serve system for all products.
• Define and evolve notification standards including content guidelines, severity taxonomy, actionability, and delivery SLAs.
• Improve maintenance communication through pre-notification processes, message quality, and multi-product coordination.
• Identify opportunities to reduce notification noise and introduce valuable new event types.
• Work with platform teams to introduce proactive system health alerts for cluster visibility.
• Track and report notification quality metrics like delivery rates and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Strong product opinion on notification value vs. noise.
• Familiarity with cloud operational communication patterns: maintenance windows, service status, system health alerts.
• Technical understanding of notification delivery systems: queues, retry logic, multi-channel routing.
• Ability to set and evolve quality standards including content policies and message templates.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (IaaS, PaaS) and operational communication.
• Familiarity with reliability concepts: SLOs, error budgets, maintenance windows.
• Experience driving cross-team product initiatives.
