What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain workflows to enhance tools, shaders, and processes.
• Create highly detailed character and creature models based on concept art.
• Produce high-poly models, UVs, in-game topology, and textures within technical constraints.
• Collaborate with rigging, animation, FX, and lighting departments to ensure artistic and technical quality.
• Provide aesthetic and technical direction to other character artists.
• Evaluate and demo new 3rd party software for the character pipeline.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Santa Monica, CA, USA.
• At least 5 years of experience as a character artist.
• Experience working on at least one AAA title.
• Expertise in PBR materials, topology, and in-game character pipelines.
• Strong skills in sculpting, modeling, texturing, and shading.
• Knowledge of hair curve and card creation for next-gen games.

Nice to have

• Intermediate knowledge of Python scripting.
