System Engineer - Analysis & Improvement (Power Electronics)

Total compensation: starting from €64,000 gross per year, including a 30% variable bonus based on goal achievement.

What you will do

• Perform root cause analysis and define containment, corrective, and preventive actions from concept through implementation.
• Contribute to early failure detection algorithms, diagnostics, monitoring software, and continuous system improvement.
• Analyze service tickets, field feedback, system logs, connectivity issues, software update failures, and fleet data to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Diagnose hardware, power electronics, and mechanical failures on returned units and classify faults by frequency, cause, severity, and customer impact.
• Support R&D investigations, quality claims, and the 8D process for design-related issues.
• Define repair instructions for internal and external repair centers and verify the effectiveness of countermeasures.

Requirements

• MSc in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification, with knowledge of power electronics and related components.
• Professional experience in R&D and System Engineering, including design, validation, and complex cross-functional processes.
• Knowledge of C programming for embedded microcontrollers and microcontroller architectures.
• Experience with control simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink and hardware dimensioning tools such as SPICE.
• Strong skills in 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, root cause analysis, corrective action management, system modeling, and data analysis.
• Fluent English and fluent Italian and/or German are required.
