TL;DR
Commercial Planning Analyst (Electricals & Toys): Deliver category budgets and day-to-day trade through data-driven recommendations to maximise sales and profitability with an accent on drawing insights from complex datasets and influencing cross-functional teams. Focus on building models, reports and dashboards, scenario planning, financial forecasts, and promotional reporting to drive category P&Ls.
Location: Liverpool, England, United Kingdom. Flexible, hybrid working model. 2nd stage interview in-person at Speke, Liverpool office.

What you will do
- Draw commercial insights from complex datasets to enable strategic decision-making and maximise profitability.
- Build comprehensive models, reports and dashboards using data manipulation skills.
- Present data in clear formats for senior leaders and use insights to influence category teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Support trading decisions with performance insight, scenario planning, promo planning and financial forecasts.
- Track and report opportunities from price, customer and market data to drive profitability.
- Partner with Trade Planning team to coordinate trading calendar and promotional reporting.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel essential; experience handling variety of data sources.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong commercial acumen to interpret results, identify drivers and trends.
- Positive, driven with energy; comfortable balancing multiple priorities.
- Strong PowerPoint skills to synthesise data insights into clear presentations.
Nice to have
- PowerBI and SQL/Teradata experience preferred.
