Procurement Manager (Aerospace): Leading procurement strategy and building centralized processes to manage key suppliers for stratospheric balloon systems with an accent on strategic sourcing, vendor relationship management, and FAR/DFARS compliance. Focus on designing scalable procurement infrastructure and optimizing supply chain risks to support production scaling and mission readiness.
Location: On-site in Denver, CO. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year

What you will do
- Lead strategic sourcing for production materials and develop a sourcing roadmap aligned with R&D and scaling plans.
- Implement and automate procurement systems and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the procurement function.
- Manage high-impact vendor relationships, negotiate contractual terms, and optimize costs, quality, and delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing, and Engineering to forecast purchasing and manage cash flow.
- Establish FAR/DFARS-compliant procurement processes and maintain documentation for government audit requirements.
- Drive supplier quality management in alignment with AS9100 requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, with 3+ years in a senior or manager capacity.
- Professional background in aerospace, defense, or other hardware-intensive industries.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and improving procure-to-pay workflows and demand forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Must be located near or willing to relocate to Denver, CO.
Nice to have
- Experience scaling procurement functions at early-stage aerospace/defense hardware companies.
- Working knowledge of AS9100, FAR/DFARS compliance, and CPSR preparation.
- Experience with ITAR/EAR export control considerations.
- CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent professional certification.
