What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of the cloud platform across AWS and GCP, specifically focusing on Kubernetes and core networking.
• Build and standardize platform capabilities, including CI/CD, observability, and service templates to reduce developer cognitive load.
• Develop and operate shared data platform services using Golang operators, Kafka, and Neo4j.
• Partner with product engineering, security, and SRE teams to implement secure and resilient architectures.
• Mentor engineers and drive cloud cost optimization through automation and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Production experience managing infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and service mesh technologies, preferably Istio.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, routing, load balancing, and WAFs.
• Proven experience with Terraform (IaC) and software development in Golang.
• Experience supporting underlying infrastructure for stateful applications like Kafka or GraphDB.
• Must be based in the UK or Europe
