TL;DR

What you will do

  • Develop and optimize end-to-end lifecycle strategies across email, SMS, and on-site experiences.
  • Build and optimize high-impact flows in Klaviyo, including onboarding, education, and winback paths.
  • Drive subscription retention using Loop and Shopify, running experiments to reduce voluntary and involuntary churn.
  • Own retention reporting, managing cohort analysis, LTV, rebill rates, and subscription health dashboards.
  • Run structured A/B tests on offers, messaging, and channel mix to create repeatable playbooks.
  • Collaborate with CX, Product, and Marketing to improve the full customer journey from acquisition to long-term engagement.

Requirements

  • 3-7+ years in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing, ideally within DTC, e-commerce, or subscription models.
  • Essential experience in subscription retention with a focus on rebill rates, LTV, and cancellation rates.
  • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo, Iterable, or Braze, and subscription tools like Loop or Recharge.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate cohort and funnel data into actionable strategies without a dedicated analyst.
  • Excellent copy instincts and customer empathy to lead with product outcomes over discounts.

Nice to have

  • Experience in pet, wellness, or CPG industries.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Triple Whale, and survey tools such as Fairing or Typeform.
  • Experience working within a CX/support team to build retention-focused programs.
