Salary: $140,000 - $170,000

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate above-the-line agreements for animated series, specials, and short-form content.
• Manage rights acquisition agreements for writers, voice actors, producers, and consultants.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day legal liaison for senior production staff.
• Advise and interface with departments including content security, finance, tax, distribution, and trademark on service vendor matters.
• Oversee all legal aspects of assigned series, including drafting chain of title and talent approval documentation.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school or foreign equivalent.
• Member in good standing of the state bar of California, or qualified to register as California in-house counsel.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a motion picture studio, production company, network, or law firm.
• Superior drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under strict deadlines.

• Transactional experience drafting and negotiating production services, animation, and live-action television contracts.
