What you will do

• Write, edit, and publish manufacturing assembly, test, and operational documentation using Microsoft Word and other single-source tools.
• Own the documentation change management process, coordinating reviews and releases through configuration management systems.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams to ensure documentation accuracy and usability.
• Participate in cleanroom controlled builds to validate procedures and capture best practices.
• Create technical visual aids using 3D CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, and Windchill.
• Audit documents and BOMs for consistency and adherence to company standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent technical experience.
• 2–3 years of technical writing experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and 3D CAD models.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and image editing software like Photoshop.
• Must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA, including regular gowning for cleanroom activities.

Nice to have

• Hands-on manufacturing experience as an assembler or technician.
• Experience with JIRA, wikis, or similar issue-tracking and source control tools.
