Senior Java Engineer (Java)

Location: Onsite in Kosice, Slovakia

Salary: €3,600+ gross per month; base minimum pay of €41,736 annually, plus a performance-related annual cash incentive.

What you will do

• Design, develop, modify, and implement software applications using agile methods.
• Acquire client requirements and resolve workflow issues through automation optimization.
• Write source code for new applications and enhance existing code samples.
• Use automated testing tools for software testing and maintenance.
• Design and maintain software integrations, APIs, and interfaces with alternative platforms.
• Guide junior engineers in creating structured application and interface code, documentation, and guides.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience with Java 8 or higher and RESTful API development using Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle practices, agile Scrum, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Technical knowledge of Azure, AWS, Azure DevOps, message brokers, ETL tools, Snowflake, DB2, API design, and high-performing distributed systems.
• Strong decision-making, critical-thinking, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with software integration engineering, product design and architecture, and software product testing strategies.
