Senior .Net Developer (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid (Bratislava, Slovakia)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain .NET Core RESTful APIs for risk accumulation management.
• Develop scalable and secure cloud-native services using Azure Web Apps and Azure Functions.
• Integrate .NET services with Databricks, Azure SQL, PostGIS, and internal platforms.
• Ensure high code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and data engineers in an agile delivery model.
• Contribute to the modernization of legacy components and migration to cloud-native architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in financial services, banking, or insurance.
• Strong expertise in .NET (latest LTS, .NET 8 preferred) and production-grade RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with Entity Framework and Repository / Unit of Work patterns.
• Solid T-SQL / MS SQL skills, including stored procedures and triggers.
• Hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Location: Must be based in Bratislava or be able to work in a hybrid setup there.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dapper or other micro-ORMs.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Delta Lake, or Spark-based data platforms.
• Experience with PostGIS or spatial data stores.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Azure Service Bus, Kafka).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, and Domain-Driven Design.
