Senior .NET API Developer

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid schedule with occasional home office possible

Starting base salary: €2,930

hirify.global is an insurance company developing a strategic global platform for risk accumulation management.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain .NET Core RESTful APIs for underwriting, modelling, and reporting consumers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for scalable, secure, cloud-native Azure services.
• Integrate .NET services with Databricks, Azure SQL, PostGIS, message queues, and internal platforms.
• Maintain code quality through unit testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, modelers, data engineers, and business stakeholders in an agile delivery model.
• Modernize legacy components and migrate them to the cloud-native target architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with .NET, preferably .NET 8, and extensive production experience with .NET Core RESTful APIs.
• Solid knowledge of Entity Framework and Repository/Unit of Work patterns.
• Strong T-SQL and MS SQL skills, including joins, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Experience with asynchronous programming, parallelization, unit testing, and test-driven practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure PaaS services, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dapper or other micro-ORMs.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, PostGIS, or spatial data stores.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, and Azure API services.
• Knowledge of domain-driven design, clean architecture, and observability tools.
• Insurance domain experience, including exposure management, catastrophe modelling, underwriting workflows, or SOV processing.
