Director, Product Management (Access Management)

Director, Product Management (Access Management): Own the Enterprise Access pillar handling authentication protocols, policies, MFA, SSO, and federations for human and non-human identities with an accent on roadmap strategy, execution, and team leadership. Location: Bellevue, Washington or San Francisco, California (Hybrid). Salary ranges vary by state including California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Washington.

Salary: $230,000 — $355,000 USD (base, depending on location; plus equity, bonus, benefits)

What you will do

• Define and drive Enterprise Access product strategy and roadmap, including backchannel authentication, machine delegation, and protocol unification with AI pillar.
• Make data-backed prioritization decisions across AI commitments, customer obligations, revenue upgrades, and platform investments.
• Ship products driving adoption and revenue; own quarterly delivery across engineering groups; collaborate on platform-first experiences.
• Engage directly with Fortune 500 customers and field teams to translate needs into priorities and support deals.
• Manage 5-7 PMs: set expectations, provide feedback, develop talent, handle performance reviews and career growth.
• Evangelize vision internally and externally; partner on metrics, GTM, pricing, and packaging.

Requirements

• 8+ years product management experience, 3+ years managing PM teams.
• Experience leading authentication, authorization, or access management products at enterprise scale.
• Strong technical foundation for protocol discussions (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2) and tradeoff decisions.
• Track record shipping products with business outcomes (adoption, revenue, retention).
• Proven prioritization across competing demands and ability to manage/develop PMs at multiple levels.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with IAM platforms or security products.
• Familiarity with AI agent authentication, phishing-resistant auth (FIDO2, passkeys), identity verification.
• Multi-tenant SaaS at scale; advanced degree.
