What you will do

• Own all FP&A and accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and controls.
• Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape company strategy and resource allocation.
• Implement scalable financial systems and tooling to streamline reporting and forecasting.
• Lead fundraising processes and manage investor relationships, structuring equity and debt.
• Integrate financial strategy across sales, operations, and product teams to act as a force multiplier.
• Anticipate and mitigate financial and regulatory risks as the company scales.

Requirements

• Must be based onsite in New York City, NY, five days per week.
• Professional pedigree: 1–2 years of investment banking, 4–6 years at a top-tier private equity firm, and a senior finance role (VP/SVP) at a high-growth startup.
• Proven track record in running and winning capital raise processes.
• Deep expertise in marketplace metrics, including unit economics and revenue retention.
• Ability to scale manual processes into automated, repeatable financial systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with marketplace or two-sided platform businesses.
• Legal and/or compliance acumen.
• Proficiency in data & analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience implementing FP&A software (e.g., Oracle, Planful, Adaptive).
