Principal Quality Engineer (Playwright/Cucumber/AI): Advancing testing capabilities through modern automation and AI-driven methodologies for software development lifecycle with an accent on test frameworks, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Focus on designing scalable automation frameworks, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring quality gates across UI, API, and regression layers.

Location: Hybrid Atlanta, requires two (2) days in our office weekly

What you will do

• Lead design, implementation, and evolution of automation frameworks using Playwright and Cucumber.
• Drive automation-first mindset with robust tests across UI, API, integration, and regression layers.
• Own test strategy for value streams, aligning with CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks for multiple teams.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Define best practices for test automation, defect triage, and quality metrics.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software test automation or engineering, 5+ years in principal/lead role.
• Deep expertise with TypeScript, Playwright, Cucumber, and modern frameworks.
• Strong CI/CD, cloud-native testing, DevOps QA workflows.
• Experience designing and scaling automation frameworks.
• Performance testing, API testing, test observability.
• Agile/SAFe practices; excellent communication and leadership.

Nice to have

• Insurance or financial services domain experience.
