What you will do

• Work with feature owners, game design, and development teams to implement new features.
• Collaborate with game client developers on networked communications between client and server.
• Design and develop game server, tools, and libraries focused on performance, scalability, and consistency.
• Write automated tests (unit, integration) and partner with QA to improve gameplay and prevent exploits.
• Build tools for liveops and game design teams to create new gameplay experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years in professional game development or relevant area.
• BA or Computing Degree.
• Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, concurrency, design patterns, algorithms).
• Mastery of Unity and C# or similar OO language, with asynchronous and multi-threaded programming.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP) and low-latency, high-scale distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Unix-like OS, Redis (or databases), ORMs, migration scripts; efficient low-latency code; security against intrusions and cheating.

Nice to have

• Experience with highly available game back-end systems.
• Web development (React, Angular).
• AWS, Docker, Terraform, Kibana, Chef, Ansible.
• Automated testing and stateful/stateless game server architectures.
