TL;DR

Senior Data Analyst (Power BI): Deliver high-quality dashboards, robust data models, governed datasets, and automated reporting solutions across HR with an accent on Workday HR data, Power BI semantic models, and executive-level insights. Focus on end-to-end project management, data quality governance, and cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic decision-making.

Canada, Alberta, Calgary or Ontario, Toronto. #LI-Remote with ability to travel to clients and FTI offices as needed.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end project management of HR analytics initiatives, including scoping, timelines, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and executive reports for ExCo.
  • Build robust data models, collaborate with Data Engineers on pipelines, and validate data quality.
  • Analyze Workday HR data across HCM, Talent, Compensation, and Learning; define RaaS outputs.
  • Automate reporting workflows with Power Automate and optimize manual processes.
  • Standardize KPIs, maintain data governance, apply RLS and privacy controls; train HR teams on self-service analytics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in data analytics or HR analytics.
  • Degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, HR Analytics, Computer Science, or related.
  • Expert Power BI (data modelling, DAX, MDX, RLS, optimization); enterprise semantic models.
  • Advanced Excel (Power Query, PivotTables); strong MS SQL (CTEs, window functions).
  • Workday experience, interpreting RaaS and integrations; HR systems knowledge.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on full-time basis; no sponsorship.
  • Strong communication, project management, consultative mindset for executive audiences.

Nice to have

  • Professional services/consulting experience.
  • HR data governance, SOX/compliance reporting.
  • C-suite analytics support; Python, MS Fabric, Azure.
  • Documentation/version control (Azure DevOps).
