Supplier Development Engineer (MedTech)

What you will do

• Act as a technical lead for supplier transfers of implants and instruments across cross-functional teams.
• Lead and support cost-down projects throughout the supply chain to optimize Total Cost of Ownership.
• Resolve material quality issues and non-conformances in the supply chain to maintain business continuity.
• Assess and approve supplier-requested process changes while ensuring compliance with GMP.
• Develop new supply sources in collaboration with the procurement team.
• Perform project planning for major product and process transfers and participate in Kaizen events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, BSME, or a related Engineering degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Supplier Engineering or Engineering Project Management role.
• Full-time work authorization in the United States is required (no sponsorship provided).
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Lean Manufacturing, and Process Validation.
• Proficiency in 6 Sigma, DMAIC, and data analysis using Minitab.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, MasterCAM) and GD&T ASME Y14.5M-1994.
• Knowledge of Measurement Systems such as CMMs, Vision Inspection, and Profilometers.
• Master's degree in Engineering or specific experience in metals/plastics machining.
