What you will do

• Design a greenfield Matter Isolation Model for per-matter partitioning, access boundaries, and audit trails.
• Define graph ingestion strategies for unstructured evidence, including entity resolution and schema evolution.
• Develop parameterized multi-hop query patterns (5-15 hops) tailored to specific practice areas.
• Build the graph-side tool surface for LLM agent traversal, including typed query tools and result shaping.
• Ensure semantic alignment between the graph, vector embeddings, and search indexes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data or backend engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with production knowledge graphs or entity resolution systems.
• Strong proficiency in Cypher and graph database query planning.
• Strong production Python skills for ETL, schema evolution, and data quality.
• Working familiarity with vector retrieval and RAG-style systems.
• Strong written and verbal English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Production experience with Neo4j, including performance tuning and schema migration.
• Experience with Azure cloud (AWS or GCP also acceptable).
• Experience designing multi-tenant isolation for regulated industries like legal or finance.
• Experience designing tool contracts or APIs consumed by LLM agents.
