What you will do

• Design and build server-side APIs to manage backups and large-scale data operations across a global user base.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate implementation and validate correctness.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Support teams to align backend features with actual customer workflows.
• Develop and maintain support tooling to diagnose and resolve customer issues at scale.
• Maintain high standards for testing, documentation, and reproducibility for all code and open-source assets.

Requirements

• Must be based in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Mexico.
• 2+ years of backend software engineering experience with systems serving millions of users.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, or Java.
• Practical understanding of AI workflows, including data ingestion, inference, and agent-based orchestration.
• Experience building large-scale APIs and distributed storage or data systems.
• Strong written communication skills for explaining technical decisions to diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience building or evaluating AI agents and multi-step tool-use systems.
• Experience with Cassandra or other large-scale NoSQL systems.
• Familiarity with ReactJS or other frontend frameworks.
• Prior work with vector databases or embedding pipelines.
