TL;DR

What you will do
- Use AI-assisted tools like Claude Code to accelerate implementation while validating correctness, security, and performance.
- Design and build server-side APIs for user authentication, backups, large-scale data operations, and data restoration.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and Support to align backend features with customer workflows.
- Build and maintain support tooling to diagnose and resolve issues at scale.
- Ensure high standards for testing, documentation, reproducibility, and developer usability in all code and open source assets.
Requirements
- 5+ years backend software engineering experience on systems serving millions of users
- Proficiency in backend languages like Java, Python, TypeScript (able to learn new ones)
- Practical understanding of AI workflows: data ingestion, preprocessing, inference, agent orchestration
- Experience with large-scale APIs and distributed storage/data systems
- Production coding habits: rigorous testing, documentation, security, performance
- Customer-focused mindset and strong written communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience building/evaluating AI agents and multi-step tool-use systems
- Experience with Cassandra or large-scale NoSQL
- Familiarity with ReactJS or frontend frameworks
- Work with vector databases or embedding pipelines
