What you will do

• Use AI-assisted tools like Claude Code to accelerate implementation while validating correctness, security, and performance.
• Design and build server-side APIs for user authentication, backups, large-scale data operations, and data restoration.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Support to align backend features with customer workflows.
• Build and maintain support tooling to diagnose and resolve issues at scale.
• Ensure high standards for testing, documentation, reproducibility, and developer usability in all code and open source assets.

Requirements

• 5+ years backend software engineering experience on systems serving millions of users
• Proficiency in backend languages like Java, Python, TypeScript (able to learn new ones)
• Practical understanding of AI workflows: data ingestion, preprocessing, inference, agent orchestration
• Experience with large-scale APIs and distributed storage/data systems
• Production coding habits: rigorous testing, documentation, security, performance
• Customer-focused mindset and strong written communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience building/evaluating AI agents and multi-step tool-use systems
• Experience with Cassandra or large-scale NoSQL
• Familiarity with ReactJS or frontend frameworks
• Work with vector databases or embedding pipelines
