Sr. Engineer I, Automation (DeltaV and Syncade): Provide technical leadership for DeltaV and Syncade MES systems supporting biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations and capital projects with an accent on design, implementation, validation, and sustainment of automation solutions. Focus on troubleshooting complex issues, executing change controls, and leading medium to large automation projects.

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for DeltaV and Syncade MES across development, validation, and production.
- Design, implement, and maintain software solutions and interfaces with PI Historian, Oracle, CMMS, Veeva, LIMS, and other platforms.
- Author, review, and approve automation and MES documentation including design specs, test protocols, and lifecycle documents.
- Execute and own change controls for validated systems in compliance with quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues to support operations, including on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering on validation strategies and project delivery.
- Lead or support automation projects and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from accredited college or university
- Minimum 4 years experience in automation engineering
- Proven experience with DeltaV and/or Syncade recipe authoring
- Strong experience with validated systems, documentation, and change control
- Ability to troubleshoot complex automation software and hardware issues
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s in Automation, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
- 4+ years in biotech/pharma manufacturing automation
- Experience with both DeltaV and Syncade MES
- Familiarity with batch reporting, MES design, review-by-exception
- Technology transfer, capital projects, or site improvements experience
- Mentoring or training junior engineers
