Senior Managing Consultant (Competition Economics)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; candidates outside Brussels may relocate for a long or short period

What you will do

• Lead large competition economics consulting projects involving litigation and mergers.
• Take ownership of crucial pieces of work, make decisions, and work autonomously with support from Managing Directors.
• Manage a small supporting team and ensure projects are completed with minimal supervision.
• Develop rigorous, high-quality economic analyses and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Expand statistical software and programming capabilities and train others.

Requirements

• Experience with litigation and mergers gained in a competition consulting environment.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate the tenacity to complete projects with minimal supervision.
• Experience working in and on German matters.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English and German.
• Advanced degree (M.A., M.Sc., or PhD) in Economics or a related field from a leading university.
• Proficiency in Excel and statistical software or programming languages such as R, Stata, or Python.
• Commitment to high-quality analysis and close attention to detail.
• Positive, proactive approach to engaging with colleagues.
