Senior Consultant in Research, Analysis and Evaluation (Gender Equality)

Location: Brussels, Belgium. What you will do

• Conduct comparative research and evaluation projects on gender equality and non-discrimination policies using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Coordinate multi-country research teams, external experts, work packages, data collection, and analysis.
• Support research methodology, quality assurance, validation of findings, and delivery within budget.
• Manage relationships with EU institutions, agencies, civil society organisations, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Lead tenders, reports, case studies, workshops, interviews, publications, and presentations.
• Provide line management support and contribute to business strategy and development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in political science, public policy, gender studies, social anthropology, or a related discipline.
• Approximately five years of experience researching and evaluating EU policies and programmes in gender equality and non-discrimination.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research, analytical, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience with Excel and preferably NVivo, SPSS, STATA, or similar statistical analysis tools.
• Understanding of EU institutions, policy-making processes, institutional mechanisms, and gender mainstreaming.
• Excellent English and fluency in at least one additional European language; right to work in Belgium or eligibility for visa sponsorship is required for the Brussels-based role.

• Experience coordinating large, multi-country gender equality research teams and institutional data collection.
• Experience facilitating workshops, interviews, and events with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Business development experience, including contributions to proposals and tenders.
