ASIC Design Verification Engineer (Space)

ASIC Design Verification Engineer (Space): Verifying the functionality, performance, and robustness of custom silicon designs for high-power satellites with an accent on SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and functional coverage. Focus on driving constrained-random testing, conducting root-cause analysis of failures, and ensuring coverage closure for sign-off.

Location: Remote (United States). Candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by ITAR regulations.

Salary: $130,000 – $200,000 + equity

What you will do

• Develop and execute verification plans for block-level, subsystem-level, and full-chip environments.
• Build SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, including agents, monitors, scoreboards, and coverage models.
• Write SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) and integrate formal verification methodologies.
• Run simulations, triage failures, and collaborate with RTL designers to resolve hardware issues.
• Implement functional and code coverage to ensure closure for final sign-off.
• Manage regression testing and CI pipelines to optimize test throughput and debug iterations.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC verification.
• Solid understanding of SystemVerilog, digital logic, and hardware verification flows.
• Proficiency with simulation tools (VCS, Xcelium, Questa) and waveform debuggers (Verdi, SimVision).
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, or TCL) and Git.
• Must be a U.S. Person or eligible for a federally issued export control license (ITAR compliance).

Nice to have

• Advanced experience with UVM-based testbench development and reference models.
• Understanding of industry standard interfaces such as APB, AHB, and AXI.
• Prior experience in space, telecom, or RF/digital mixed systems.
