What you will do

• Analyze mission and system-level needs to derive requirements for the simulation environment.
• Design and implement interface simulators for integration and aliveness tests.
• Develop full functional simulators or emulators for key satellite subsystems to support end-to-end testing.
• Evaluate and integrate realistic environment simulation solutions into SIL and HIL setups.
• Integrate simulations with CI pipelines and manual test campaigns to ensure reliability and reproducibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and the scientific stack (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) for simulations.
• Experience building or using simulation tools for dynamic systems (physics-based or hardware emulation).
• Proven experience in the aerospace industry, specifically with flight software and hardware.
• Proficiency with Ubuntu/Linux, Git, GitLab, and CI pipeline management.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid model in Berlin, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with Basilisk or similar simulation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Docker, InfluxDB, and Grafana.
