O&M Mechanical Technician

Location: Onsite at Waste to Energy plant in Slough, UK

Salary: c. £46K + £2.5K Call Out Allowance per annum

What you will do

• Perform mechanical repairs on all plant process systems and equipment, planning details of assigned jobs
• Inspect, lubricate, and adjust plant equipment routinely for efficient operation
• Conduct risk identification, analysis, and assessments
• Provide work direction and instruction to team members
• Attend HSE inspections, audits, assessments, and meetings; report infringements promptly

Requirements

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship; HNC/D qualification in engineering desirable
• Experience in maintenance or engineering in a 24/7 heavy process environment (gearboxes, conveyors, steam plant, valves, rotating plant, hydraulics)
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Team leader skills, fault diagnosis, problem solving, planning, management, safety focus
• Excellent communication skills (read, write, verbal) in English
