Legal Intern (Energy)

TL;DR

Legal Intern (Legal): Supporting the legal team with research and document review for M&A transactions with an accent on real estate and data extraction. Focus on implementing AI tools for document review and preparing government filings.

Location: Must be based in and work from the Salt Lake City, Utah office

What you will do

• Support the in-house legal team with legal research and document review matters.
• Assist in the implementation of AI tools for document review and extraction of key data points.
• Prepare government filings related to real estate acquisitions and M&A transactions.
• Work closely with both in-house lawyers and outside counsel on large-scale real estate projects.

Requirements

• Current Law student attending an accredited law school.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel.
• Work authorization for the USA (verified via E-Verify).

Nice to have

• Background working with legal documents, real property closings, title and survey review.
• Prior experience as a summer intern or clerk in a legal department or law firm.
