TL;DR

Manager - Strategic Delivery (Retail): Supporting the execution of complex, high-priority strategic initiatives within a Transformation Office with an accent on workstream diagnostics and data-driven replanning. Focus on identifying execution blockers, redesigning delivery roadmaps, and bringing stalled projects back on track to meet KPIs.

Location: Based in Sydney with hybrid working

What you will do

  • Lead quantitative and qualitative health checks for specific workstreams to identify root causes of initiative drift.
  • Build and stress-test revised project schedules and business cases to ensure realistic recovery milestones.
  • Act as a squad lead during intervention sprints to clear technical backlogs and unblock critical path items.
  • Own recovery dashboards to provide real-time visibility into the success of intervention efforts.
  • Synthesize complex findings into high-impact documents for executive updates to the GM and ELT.
  • Identify common failure patterns across projects to refine the diagnostic playbook and tools.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm or 5-8 years in a dedicated internal Consulting/Strategy unit within a large corporate.
  • Proven track record of being deployed into failing or stalled projects and successfully restoring them to meet KPIs.
  • Advanced experience in complex financial modelling and business case stress-testing.
  • Experience navigating matrix environments and managing stakeholders across Finance, Tech, and Operations.
  • Hands-on experience in operational change and "last mile" delivery.
  • Expertise in distilling key insights into crisp, high-impact updates for executive-level committees.
