What you will do

• Direct a team of control and algorithms engineers, technical architects, and project leads to deliver laser light control automation.
• Own the Light Control function roadmap and functional deliverables across the full product lifecycle.
• Define and enforce functional policies, standards, and ways of working across projects.
• Provide technical leadership across laser physics, electronics, mechanical systems, and embedded software.
• Collaborate with program management to define project scope, estimate effort, and negotiate resource allocations.
• Monitor and guide the quality of control designs through disciplined reviews and verification activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering with a Control Systems emphasis.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience (PhD is a plus).
• Proven experience designing complex algorithms and control systems for electromechanical systems.
• Experience delivering successful products within a project team, managing schedules and documentation.
• Must be located in or authorized to work in San Diego, CA, US.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor equipment design.
• Previous experience managing technical teams.
• PhD degree in a relevant technical field.
