What you will do

• Design, build, and operate low-latency services using Python/Django, Go, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and ElasticSearch.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of platform features and stability workstreams, from technical design to long-term ownership.
• Drive SLO-backed reliability for Tier-0 systems, improving observability and reducing unplanned work.
• Contribute to the LLM inference platform (LMS), focusing on model routing, provider integrations, and safety rails.
• Develop AI-native internal tools such as automated ticket triage and on-call copilots to optimize team workflows.
• Mentor engineers, drive technical design reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience building and operating production services at scale.
• 4+ years experience with Python (Django) and/or Go, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and ElasticSearch.
• 3+ years supporting enterprise-class customers, including ownership of SLOs and incident response.
• 2+ years of system design experience for non-trivial cross-team architectures.
• Demonstrated daily use of AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) in professional workflow.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building with LLMs in production (provider APIs, evals, model routing).
• Experience with notification delivery systems, licensing/entitlement platforms, or high-leverage internal platforms.
• Proven track record of building AI agents or automations that replace meaningful manual work.
• Experience mentoring engineers and acting as a tech lead for a squad.
