Sr. Software Engineer Frontend (React): Incrementally modernizing user interfaces of 20+ SaaS products from legacy server-rendered stacks to modern React components with an accent on the strangler pattern and AI-augmented development. What you will do
- Replace server-rendered UIs with modern React components using incremental modernization patterns (strangler pattern).
- Convert Figma designs into production-ready React components, leveraging AI tools to accelerate implementation.
- Identify and resolve API decoupling requirements by collaborating with backend engineers.
- Implement feature flags for safe UI rollouts and write unit and visual regression tests to maintain stability.
- Conduct performance benchmarking to demonstrate measurable improvements after modernization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and backend engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a frontend engineer.
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Hands-on experience modernizing server-rendered legacy stacks (e.g., PHP, Ruby on Rails, or .NET).
- Proven ability to use AI coding tools to ship production frontend code.
- Experience with Figma handoffs and frontend testing proficiency.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship (including OPT, STEM OPT, or H-1B).
Nice to have
- Experience working across multiple products or within a platform engineering team.
- Accessibility awareness and WCAG compliance experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining component libraries.
