What you will do
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and development plans for direct reports.
- Foster a safety-first culture through regular audits, strict compliance with internal programs, and leading safety training sessions (e.g., Toolbox Talks).
- Direct field labor and support personnel to meet customer expectations for scheduling and repair delivery.
- Manage departmental budgets, costs, and resource allocation to ensure profitability.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and resolve customer issues efficiently.
- Ensure all work processes meet quality standards and comply with federal, provincial, and local elevator industry codes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational or field management, preferably in the elevator industry or a technical field.
- Proven track record in people management and leading diverse teams to deliver excellent service.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications with strong mechanical and electrical comprehension.
- Knowledge of CSA B44 and Alberta Safety Codes Act requirements.
- Experience working in a unionized environment and managing collective agreements.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Edmonton and remote locations in Northern Alberta/NWT.
