TL;DR

Principal Vision and AI Engineer (Automotive/Embedded): Driving advanced vision pipeline development and AI solutions for automotive and industrial IoT applications with an accent on architecture definition and prototype development on MPU/MCU platforms. Focus on designing AI-based vision solutions from concept to PoC, developing Linux drivers, and optimizing performance metrics.

Location: Onsite in Sophia-Antipolis (Valbonne), France

What you will do

  • Lead architecture exploration, benchmarking, and technical competitive analysis for vision subsystems.
  • Develop and assess AI-based vision solutions from concept to Proof of Concept (PoC).
  • Build simulation and prototyping environments, including the design of Linux drivers.
  • Define and evaluate performance and quality metrics for vision pipelines.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and system architecture teams to integrate solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the R&D organization.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in vision, embedded systems, or related domains.
  • Strong expertise in C/C++, Python, and Bash.
  • Solid background in image signal processing and deep learning frameworks for vision applications.
  • Hands-on experience with GStreamer, OpenCV, PCL, and Linux kernel development.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SystemC, Verilog, or FPGA-based platforms (e.g., Zynq, Versal).
  • Knowledge of sensor fusion, multi-sensor systems, or Radar technologies.
  • DSP programming and optimization skills.
