Simulator Technician

TL;DR

Simulator Technician (Aerospace/Defense): Performing mechanical and electrical assembly of simulation systems with an accent on integration and field installation. Focus on interpreting engineering schematics, fabricating subassemblies, and ensuring mission readiness through global site deployments.

Location: Arlington, TX. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for DoD Secret security clearance.

What you will do

• Perform non-routine production assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies, including cable wiring harnesses.
• Utilize hand/power tools, jigs, and saws for fabrication and integration of system hardware.
• Determine assembly methods and sequences based on engineering sketches, diagrams, and schematics.
• Execute device teardown and participate in site installation teams during field deployments, including overseas travel.
• Manage Manufacturing Order (MO) routing steps in Deltek Costpoint and generate Nonconforming Material Reports.
• Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) by identifying and reporting issues during the assembly process.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 3-5 years of experience in electrical/mechanical assembly.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to government contract requirements.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering sketches, diagrams, and schematics.
• Possession of a current passport for frequent overseas travel (likely 75-80% of the time).
• Physical ability to lift 40-50 lbs and work in standing, stooping, or bending positions for long periods.
