Data Center Security Lead

TL;DR

Data Center Security Lead (Physical Security): Overseeing day-to-day physical security operations and supervising security personnel at the site level with an accent on access control and staffing. Focus on enforcing security standards, managing incident response, and maintaining audit-ready documentation in a mission-critical environment.

Location: On-site in Columbus, OH. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no sponsorship, CPT, or OPT available).

Salary: $25 - $30 per hour

What you will do

• Oversee daily security operations and supervise security officers.
• Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure consistent coverage across all shifts in a 24/7 environment.
• Enforce access control procedures, including badging, visitor access, and escorts.
• Respond to and manage on-site security incidents, including escalation, containment, and documentation.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Coordinate with Operations and Infrastructure teams to ensure a secure and controlled environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in physical security or a related field.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role.
• Experience scheduling staff and managing coverage for 24/7 operations.
• Strong understanding of access control procedures and site security operations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in data center or mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems.
• Experience supporting audits or working in regulated environments.
