Intelligence Analyst SME (National Security Mission Support)

Location: Vienna, VA, United States; on-site office role

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Apply qualitative and quantitative methods to assess threat-screening effectiveness and improve complex systems, processes, and procedures.
• Conduct high-level studies using threat knowledge, intelligence community databases, and analytical techniques.
• Lead analytical teams, organize work, mentor junior staff, and provide quality assurance.
• Evaluate program impacts, identify system and process gaps, and support enterprise-level planning and decision-making.
• Present findings and recommendations through reports, briefings, and visual data products.
• Advise executive management on organizational assessments, threat and vulnerability analysis, and complex intelligence challenges.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years; additional experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Background in intelligence analysis, national security, law enforcement, or related mission environments.
• Experience conducting research and analysis across multiple information systems.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph.
• Strong analytical, research, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal law enforcement, intelligence community, or national security missions.
• Experience in multi-agency environments.
• Familiarity with analytical databases and intelligence research tools.
• Experience in operational or shift-based mission environments.
