What you will do

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to increase process robustness and reduce consumable usage
• Evaluate new engineering techniques and technologies to lower assay costs and processing time
• Perform complex manual and automated laboratory procedures, including nucleic acid extraction and PCR
• Collaborate with the engineering team to diagnose issues and implement technical solutions
• Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment following strict quality protocols
• Present technical insights and project data to the team and department

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a relevant discipline
• Proven experience completing projects within academic or industrial environments
• Experience developing and refining electrical or mechanical system components
• Proficiency in Python or C# for data analysis and complex problem solving
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Menlo Park, CA
