TL;DR

Intern (Opto-Electronics Engineering): Assist in laboratory experiments, data collection, and R&D processes for power conversion and flash lighting products with an accent on optics measurements, performance metrics, and quality management. Location: Billerica, MA, United States (onsite laboratory work required)

Pay Range: $22 - $27 depending on experience

What you will do

• Assist in laboratory experiments using spectrometers and optical instruments for data collection.
• Develop software tools to process and analyze experimental data.
• Participate in performance metrics development and apply design for manufacture (DFM) principles.
• Study lighting performance metrics and Xenon arc light sources operations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to report and interpret data findings.
• Support intellectual property development and analyze manufacturing data for troubleshooting.
• Contribute to quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Opto-Electronics, Physics, or related Science field.
• Strong interest in optics, electronics, and R&D engineering.
• Basic programming or software development skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Position subject to ITAR regulations; no visa sponsorship available.

• Hands-on experience in optics and electronics laboratory techniques.
