What you will do

• Manage full payroll cycles using systems such as Paychex to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Process payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.
• Perform payroll-related general ledger reconciliations and detailed account analysis.
• Prepare and review payroll journal entries, including debits, credits, and tax-related entries.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Maintain and update employee records within HRIS platforms like PeopleSoft and Ceridian.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar accounting role.
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as Workday, Kronos, ADP, or Paychex.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including general ledger and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency with accounting software, specifically QuickBooks or similar tools.
• High attention to detail with strong data entry accuracy (10-key proficiency preferred).
• Availability to work Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time (New York).
