TL;DR

Principal Engineer - Customer Quality (Semiconductor): Managing quality-related customer communications and establishing global standards for European semiconductor customers with an accent on issue resolution, QMS compliance, and quality performance. Focus on leading customer-facing quality discussions, executing Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs), and facilitating product change management.

Location: Remote (Germany). This position involves up to 50% international travel.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary focal point for all quality-related customer communications and complaints for European semiconductor customers.
  • Establish and deploy global customer quality standards and manage customer-specific requirements.
  • Facilitate Product Change Management (PCN) to meet customer requirements and ensure timely implementation.
  • Organize and facilitate customer audits to demonstrate QMS compliance with standards including ISO, IATF, and VDA.
  • Develop and execute Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) to drive continuous improvement in customer quality scores.
  • Support business reviews and present quality performance summaries at internal management reviews.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering within the semiconductor industry.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing principles, processes, failure analysis, or reliability.
  • Understanding of quality management systems such as ISO9000, IATF16949 / VDA, or ISO13485.
  • Proficiency in 8D problem solving, requirements management, and change management.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working in a global manufacturing environment.
